RESULTS:

A great night for the Five Points Team represented by Greg Rowe and Jesse Handler. Both Greg and Jesse are excellent examples of what it takes to succeed in the ring: determined, hard-working and consistent in training, receptive to instruction and not interested in shortcuts. These qualities showed in both of their performances.

First in the ring from Five Points was Greg, facing Matthew McQueen of CEA Training Camp. Both fighters came out in round one looking for opportunities, displaying impressive speed and solid technique. As the fight progressed Greg began to press the advantage, landing hard combinations outside and punishing McQueen with hard knees to the body that brought his opponent to the canvas. At the final bell it was Rowe by unanimous decision.

It was a long wait for Jesse, who didn't take the ring until after midnight. But he kept his focus and delivered the goods. Facing hard-punching local favorite Chris Figueroa of Lions Roar Muay Thai, Jesse effectively silenced his opponents supporters. Neutralizing Figueroa's heavy hands with low kicks and his own hard right, Jesse repeatedly stepped in and relentlessly worked the mid-section in the clinch. At the bell it was Handler by unanimous decision.

A huge 'Thank You" to the Five Points family who came out to support the team; it was a long and somewhat chaotic night, and the support really motivates the fighters!
