COMBAT SPORTS CHALLENGE 29, February 20 -- Results Added

Five Points fighters Luz Gandulla, Deb Liao and Greg Rowe will travel to Hampton VA with Coach Emily for CSC 29 on Saturday, February 20th. Luz -- after many canceled bouts and disappointments -- finally gets to make her ring debut, while Deb will face hometown favorite Lindsey MacMhaolain and Greg will challenge Hybrid Academy's Chase Walden for the WKA US Middleweight Title. All three have been training hard, so look for good news from the road!

RESULTS:

A good trip for Team Five Points.
Under the direction of Coach Emily Bearden, Luz Gandulla emerged from her long-awaited inaugural performance with an emphatic "W." The always exciting Deb Liao defeated home-town favorite Lindsey MacMhaolain with her trademark non-stop assault. Greg Rowe, in his 3rd bout, stepped up on one week's notice to face veteran Chase Walden of Hybrid Academy for the WKA US Title. Sporadically utilizing his impressive speed and strength, Greg's inexperience prevented him from capitalizing and allowed Walden to use his height and reach to keep Greg outside for much of the bout. A deserved win for Walden and a great growing experience for Greg, who will clearly be a force in his division.
Congratulations to all three fighters and thanks to all the Fight Team members who helped them prepare for the show.
