Five Points Fighters Rima Sidhu and Pascal Jean-Michel travel to San Francisco this weekend to compete in this US Muay Thai Federation event. Rima meets Marissa Badillo of California's Unlimited MMA for the USMF Bantamweight Title, while Pascal has a prestige bout with Caley Scott of Combat Fitness. The two have been training hard and we expect them to take California by storm. Go here for info.
RESULTS: A rough trip for Team Five Points.
Pascal struggled to make contract weight and had to cut a significant amount of weight for the scale. It's probable that this effected his performance. While both Pascal and his opponent Caley Scott exhibited clean muay thai technique and a put on a good fight, much of the speed and aggression we have come to expect from Pascal was lacking, as both fighters seem content to pick from outside. Scott by decision.
Rima dominated the clinch, which was limited arbitrarily. Badillo established her punching power and made Rima pay every time she came in. Badillo by decision.
