RESULTS:
Another impressive showing from the Five Points team!
In his debut bout Jesse Handler exhibited uncanny calm and commitment to executing his fight plan. Despite being handicapped by the International Rules format -- and clearly stopping himself from kneeing his opponent on several occasions -- Jesse stayed on point. He landed consistent punch and hard low kick combinations, culminating in a win by TKO in round 2 when his opponent was unable to continue.
One week after capturing a title belt in Pennsylvania, Pascal Jean-Michel stepped back into the ring to contest the LightsOut Promotions Middleweight Muay Thai Title. Against the tall southpaw Steve Kasten of VMA, he used speed and powerful counter-attacks to put on a dominant performance. At the final bell, it was Pascal by unanimous decision with his 2nd championship belt.
In the Co-Main Event of the evening, Passa Chattra -- in her 4th fight -- faced the very experienced ring veteran Chrissy Yandolli of AFC Kickboxing for the PKF NY State K-1 Title on Yandolli's home turf. Passa started slowly in round 1 but consistently pressed the action throughout rounds 2 and 3, landing unanswered low and body kicks repeatedly and at will while trading punches with little respect for Yandolli's punching power. In the end, it was a surprising split decision for Yandolli and an excellent showing for Passa as she clearly demonstrated she belongs with the veterans of the sport.
Big thanks to all the Five Points members who came out to cheer on the fighters. The support and spirit of the Five Points team is amazing.
